Today we will discuss about controlling blood glucose levels for diabetes people naturally at home. Here, I warn you that if you are a diabetic person and on antidiabetes medication to control blood sugar, you should not stop those medicines without the advice from your expert doctor whom you are consulting. Continue your medicines and all the things mentioned here you can practice with expert medical advice from your doctor otherwise you may harm yourself.

 Home foods that are helpful in controlling blood sugar level: 

There are many foods which you can add to your regular diet which is beneficial for a person with high blood sugar level such as string beans, cucumber, onion and garlic, bitter gourd, jambul fruit, Manganese which is found in citrus fruits, covering of nuts, grains and in green leaves of edible plants.

 Exercise for diabetes: 

Exercise plays an important role in controlling diabetes. Recommended exercises are light games, jogging, walking, swimming, etc.

The important thing here is that you should be regular on exercise. Be punctual otherwise, there will be no specific benefit in controlling blood sugar.

Yoga for diabetes:

Yogic asanas like bhujangasana, shalabhasana, dhanurasana, paschimottanasana, sarvangasana, halasana, ardh-matsyendrasana and savasana are helpful.

Yogic kriyas such as jalneti and kunjal, and Pranayama like kapalbhati, anuloma-viloma, and ujjai are highly beneficial.

 Hydrotherapy for diabetes: 

Many people with diabetes suffer from constipation as well. In such cases, colonic irrigation is a very helpful part of treatment. The colon should be cleaned on every second or third day until bowel discharges assume normal functions.

It is been seen that hydrotherapy help much to improve blood sugar level and improving sleep patterns.

Bathing in cold water is very beneficial in increasing circulation and enhancing the capacity of muscles to utilize sugar.

 Stress in diabetes: 

Stress or tension causes many hormonal and other changes to the body. So diabetic people should be away from minor daily life worries and should be easy going. Try to be relaxed. It will help a lot.

 What foods to avoid with diabetes? 

Food plays a very important role in controlling diabetes. It is better for the diabetic patients to take Lacto-vegetarian and low-calorie diet with a low fat, alkaline diet of high-quality natural foods. Fruits, nuts and vegetables, wholemeal bread, and dairy products from a good diet for diabetes.

Raw foods are better and excessive cooked starchy foods should be avoided.

For protein homemade cottage cheese, various forms of soured milk and nuts are best.

Overeating should be avoided. It is better to take four to five small meals per day rather than three large meals.

Food to avoid with high blood sugar:

For diabetes people, some food must be avoided for a better results like tea, coffee, and cocoa because of their adverse effect on the digestive system.

White bread, white flour products, sugar, tinned fruits, sweets, chocolates, pastries, pies, puddings, refined cereals, and alcoholic drinks must be avoided.
